I like to have photoshop open while I'm listening to music. I listen to the same playlist every time, but sometimes a song I might've heard a billion times still manages to inspire me so I scribble the things that pop in my head.
In this case I quickly sketched a stick figure doing the pose you see here based on what the song made me feel at the time. It was a weird set of feelings but I thought the pose I created from it was worth realizing. So I picked Yugi as my subject to put into this pose. It took a few tries. I liked how it looked the first time but everybody's a critic and told me I should go for more realism. I got a lot of "his neck looks funny!" comments. But yeah, the pose is still basically what I envisioned, excep for the head. I wanted it to be tilted further back but people gave me a lot of grief for that so I changed it for the sake of not having Yugi being compared to the Exorcist anymore.
I'm not going to say the title of the song because frankly it's kind of embarrassing. But I will say I was thinking about flying/falling/dancing when I created the pose, hence the title of "Wings".
